Community
Code of Conduct
Every Rust India space — chat channels, events, meetups, and the blog — is a welcoming, harassment-free space.
Our expectations
We expect everyone in Rust India spaces to be:
- Respectful — treat people with courtesy, even when you disagree. Disagreement is fine; personal attacks are not.
- Inclusive — welcome people of all backgrounds, experience levels, and identities. Beginners are the future of this community.
- Constructive — share feedback and criticism in good faith, focused on ideas rather than people.
Unacceptable behaviour
Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, and any form of abusive behaviour are not tolerated in any Rust India space, online or in person. This includes unwelcome sexual attention, offensive language, and public or private harassment.
Reporting
If you experience or witness a violation, contact the community team at team@rustindia.org. Reports are handled confidentially and seriously. If the incident involves an event or meetup, you may also approach any organiser on site.
The official Rust code of conduct
Rust India follows the spirit of the official Rust Code of Conduct. Where this page and the official document differ, the more protective standard applies.
